"Karen Horne Paints Summer in the City"
Gallery visitors enjoyed paintings of outdoor cafes, festivals and parks by this award-winning colorist. The show included paintings dotted with cheerful umbrellas and canopies, many from the patios of local restaurants. Also included were paintings from the artist's ongoing series on the Utah Arts Festival,
showing vivid crowd scenes at different times of day.

Many Gallery visitors met this award-winning Utah landscape painter on opening night - her birthday! Enjoyed her latest crop of paintings celebrating life in the Intermountain West. Browsed works capturing the fast-disappearing pastureland along the Wasatch Front, scenes of artists on the landscape, and her latest sumptuous garden paintings.

Skilled at capturing all the seasons, Phyllis Horne is best known for her garden paintings, which hang in the numerous private and public collections, including the Governors Mansion and the Springville Museum.

lush meadows, and even artists painting on the landscape.

"Summer Pleasures"
We revelled in summer pleasures with our gallery artists. Relaxed with Karen Horne's paintings of sunlit patios at restaurants such as Tuscany, Market Street Broiler, and Sage's Cafe. Festive umbrellas abounded. Enjoyed quiet garden nooks with floral paintings by Phyllis Horne. We also headed out on the road with Phyllis Horne and Ken Baxter to celebrate serene alpine retreats, rippling lakes, and red rock.
