Jeannine Goeckeritz, flute and Tamara Oswald, harp perform and tour with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir as principals of their respective sections in the Orchestra at Temple Square. They can also be seen on the weekly broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word and heard on the Choir's numerous CD recordings.
As individual artists, each has achieved and been recognized for their exceptional talent and musical performance. They play professionally in the Salt Lake City area, have performed in venues throughout the United States and can be heard on soundtracks for television, movies and compact disc recordings.
Together, as the Oswald-Goeckeritz Duo, their music is enjoyed for its rich beauty and inspirational expression. Their music has provided the ambiance for receptions prior to Tabernacle Choir performances in elite venues such as Wolftrap in Virginia , Avery Fisher Hall in New York City and Ravinia, summer home of the Chicago Symphony. Their newly released CD, Chanson: Songs for Flute and Harp, features arrangements written for the Duo by Sam Cardon, Mack Wilberg and Clive Romney.
